Working Principle of PLG plate dryer


The wet material is continuously added from the feeder to the first drying plate on the upper part of the dryer. The rake arm with rake leaves rotates to make the rake leaves turn the material continuously. The material flows over the surface of the drying disc along the exponential spiral line. The material on the small drying disc is moved to the outer edge and falls from the outer edge to the outer edge of the large drying disc below. The material on the large drying disc moves inward and falls from the middle drop-out port into the next layer of small drying disc. The large and small drying discs are arranged alternately up and down, so that the material can flow continuously through the entire dryer. The heating medium is passed into the hollow drying disc. The heating medium is in the form of saturated steam, hot water and heat transfer oil. The heating medium enters from one end of the drying disc and is discharged from the other end. The dried material falls from the last drying disc to the bottom layer of the shell, and is finally moved to the discharge port by rake leaves for discharge. The moisture escapes from the material and is discharged from the moisture discharge port on the top cover. The moisture of the vacuum PLG plate dryer is extracted from the vacuum pump port on the top cover. The dry material discharged from the bottom layer can be directly packaged. By adding auxiliary equipment such as fin heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag dust collectors, dry material remixing mechanisms, and induced draft fans, its drying production capacity can be improved, and paste-like and heat-sensitive materials can be dried, and solvents can be easily recovered, and pyrolysis and reaction operations can be performed.


Main application areas of PLG plate dryer machine

(I) Organic chemical products

Polyvinyl chloride resin, polytetrafluoroethylene resin, fumaric acid, anthraquinone, nitroanthraquinone, p-aminophenol, melamine, cyanuric acid, p-aminobenzenesulfonic acid, antioxidant 168, color phenol As, stearate, aniline, nitroaniline, dipentaerythritol, chlorinated paraffin, calcium formate, triethylenediamine, sodium benzenesulfinate, isophthalic acid, sodium dimethyl ester pentasulfonate, thiourea, oil-soluble aniline black dye, acid black dye and other organic chemical raw materials and intermediates.

(II) Inorganic chemical products

Light calcium carbonate, activated calcium carbonate, nano-scale ultrafine calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, white gray black, strontium carbonate, barium carbonate, potassium carbonate, lead powder, insurance powder, barium sulfate, potassium sulfate, microsphere catalyst, magnesium hydroxide, copper sulfate, nickel sulfate, nickel acid amine, sodium molybdate, sodium chloride, cryolite, red iron oxide, lithium hydroxide, nickel hydroxide, zirconium hydroxide, calcium phosphate, sulfur, etc.

(III) Medicine and food

Ampicillin, dendrite, L-phenylglycine and intermediates, cefuroxime, ceftriaxone, analgin, cimetidine, vitamin B12, vitamin C, medicinal salt, medicinal aluminum hydroxide, medicinal magnesium metasilicate, caffeine, tea, flower extract, ginkgo leaf, chocolate powder, starch, corn germ and other raw materials and pharmaceutical intermediates.

(IV) Feed and fertilizer

Potassium carbonate, biological potassium fertilizer, protein feed, chlortetracycline for feed, mycelium, bran, distiller's grains, grains, seeds, herbicides, cellulose, calcium hydrogen phosphate for feed, etc.


Features of PLG Plate Dryer


(I) Easy to control and strong applicability

1. Adjusting the material layer thickness, spindle speed, number of rake arms, rake blade type and size can make the drying process (optimal).

2. Each layer of drying disc can be fed with hot or cold medium separately to heat or cool the material, and the material temperature control is accurate and easy.

3. The residence time of the material can be accurately adjusted.

4. The material flow direction is single, there is no back mixing phenomenon, the drying is uniform, the quality is stable, and no mixing is required.

(II) Simple and easy operation

1. The start-up and stop operations of the dryer are very simple.

2. After stopping the feeding, the rake blades that convey the material can quickly empty the material in the dryer.

3. Through the special large-sized inspection door and sight glass, the equipment can be carefully cleaned and observed.

(III) Low energy consumption

1. The material layer is very thin, the spindle speed is low, the material conveying system requires little power and consumes less electricity.

2. Drying is carried out by heat conduction, with high thermal efficiency and low energy consumption.

(IV) Good operating environment, solvent can be recovered, and dust emission meets the requirements

1. Normal pressure type: Due to the low air flow rate in the equipment and the high-low humidity distribution in the equipment, it is difficult for dust to float to the top of the equipment, so the exhaust gas discharged from the top dehumidification port contains almost no dust.

2. Closed type: Equipped with a solvent recovery device, the organic solvent in the wet gas can be easily recovered. The solvent recovery device is simple and has a high recovery rate. For flammable, explosive, toxic and easily oxidized materials, nitrogen can be used as a wet gas for closed-loop circulation to make it operate stably. It is particularly suitable for drying flammable, explosive and toxic materials.

3. Vacuum type: a PLG Plate Dryer operated under vacuum. The vacuum plate dryer is particularly suitable for drying heat-sensitive materials.

(V) Easy installation and small footprint

1. The dryer is shipped as a whole and transported as a whole. It only needs to be hoisted into place, and installation and positioning are very easy.

2. Due to the layered layout and vertical installation of the drying disc, even if the drying area is large, the footprint is small.


Technical characteristics of PLG Plate Dryer


(I) Drying disc

1. Design pressure: generally 0.4MPa, (maximum) up to 1.6MPa.

2. (Maximum) operating pressure: generally ≤0.4MPa, (maximum) up to 1.6MPa.

3. Heating medium: steam, hot water, heat transfer oil. When the drying plate temperature is 100℃, use hot water for heating. When it is 100℃~150℃, use 0.4 MPa saturated water vapor or superheated steam for heating. When it is 150℃~320℃, use heat transfer oil for heating. When it is >320℃, it can be heated by electricity, heat transfer oil, molten salt, etc.

(II) Material conveying system

1. Spindle speed: 1~10 rpm, electromagnetic or variable frequency stepless speed regulation.

2. Rake arm: There are 2~8 rake arms fixed on the main shaft on each layer of drying plate.

3. Rake blade: It is hinged on the rake arm and can keep contact with the plate surface when floating up and down. There are many types.

4. Roller: For materials that are easy to agglomerate and need to be broken, adding rollers at appropriate positions can enhance the heat transfer and drying process.

(III) Shell

There are three types: normal pressure, closed, and vacuum

1. Normal pressure type: original cylinder or octagonal prism, with two structures: integral and split. The main inlet and outlet pipes of the heating medium can be inside or outside the shell.

2. Closed type: cylindrical shell, can withstand 5Kpa internal pressure, the main inlet and outlet pipes of the heating medium can be inside or outside the shell.

3. Vacuum type: cylindrical shell, the design pressure is 0.1MPa external pressure, and the main inlet and outlet pipes of the heating medium are inside the shell.
